Leonard Zeitlin


Leonard Zeitlin of Valencia, California, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, 12 Tevet 5774. Mr. Zeitlin is under the care of Groman Eden Mortuary; a memorial service is not planned at this time.

Leonard, whose name means "brave" in Old German, loved to travel; was an excellent chess player; a trained opera singer and music lover; an avid and very good photographer; and a top-notch computer analyst and programmer.

Leonard is survived by his loving wife, Joan; daughters, Susan Zeitlin and Julie (Rick Vincent) Zeitlin; cousins, Rene Bennett, Mark Rappaport, Sandra Perkins, Nicholas Gallegos and Kevin Bennett; nephew, Michael Mendelsohn; great-neice, Michelle Mendelsohn; and grand-fur-babies, (Susan Zeitlin); Indy (horse), Tango (parrott), Nikki (dog), Bhakti (dog), Susie, Smokey, Oscar and Baby (cats).
