Leon Arthur Thompson


Leon Arthur Thompson was born November 5, 1929, in Jackson, Ark. He passed away September 24, 2013, in Leona Valley, CA.

Leon served in the United States Army from 1947 to 1950. He has been a resident of the Antelope Valley for 11 years. He worked for the Bermite Powder Company and was owner of Bouquet Shell for many years.

He is survived by his wife Mary Thompson; son, Steve Thompson, daughter, Debbie Fontaine and husband Harvey, grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, and Marissa Reisinger, and great-grandchildren, Landon, Kamryn, and Skylar Reisinger. Leon is preceded in death by his son, Curtis.

A vistiation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a funeral service at noon Monday, September 30, 2013, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, with interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 2200 East Avenue S, Palmdale.
