Marlene Dahl Schreffler
School Bus Driver, Piru Post Office Worker.


Marlene Schreffler, long time resident of Fillmore, departed this being on July 13th, 2015. With her at her time of departure were husband of 57 years Marty, her youngest son Brian, and her dear pets Bam-Bam and Geovani.

Marlene was born on 5-14-1938 in Duluth, Minnesota to father Robert A. Dahl and mother Gladys. She was the oldest of five children, Marlene, Robert E., Ronald, Jean and Daniel.

In 1956 Marlene moved to California where she met Marty. They were married in Duluth. Marlene had three sons, Donald Martin (deceased), Daniel Robert, and Brian Keith.

Marlene moved to Fillmore in 1972 and worked various jobs including school bus driver for Fillmore schools. She finished her career with the U.S. Postal Service at the Piru Post Office.

Marlene was very active in Fillmore and belonged to the Fillmore First United Methodist Church, Fillmore BPW, and the Fillmore Ebell Club.

Marlene leaves behind husband Marty, sons Daniel and Brian, grandsons Donald and Andy, and granddaughters Sibel and Denise.

A celebration of Marlene's life will be held at the Bardsdale Methodist Church, Saturday, July 18, at 2 p.m.
