Vicki Kennedy


Vicki Kennedy of Valencia, CA passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 5, 1955, in Batesville, Indiana to Carl and Alice Thielking.

Vicki was the Drama Advisor and Student Store Manager at Placerita Junior High School in Newhall, CA.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Bill of Valencia, CA; son, Andy of Valencia, CA; daughter, Abby of Huntington Beach, CA; granddaughter, Angelina of Valencia, CA; daughter-in-law, Ashley Kennedy of Valencia, CA; mother and father, Carl and Alice Thielking of Batesville, IN; brothers: Jeff and Mitch Thielking of Batesville, IN; sister, Ann Wernke of Batesville, IN.

The family wrote, "Vicki was a dedicated mother to her own two children and countless others. This was especially evident in her twelve years at Placerita Junior High, where she began as a volunteer and was eventually hired to run the school's drama program and manage its student store full time. Her passion for children, musical theatre, and costuming have touched many in the community over the years. Her cheerful attitude will be missed."

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Placerita Junior High School, Tanner Hall, 25015 N. Newhall Ave, Newhall, CA 91321. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Placerita Junior High School Drama Fund.
