The Rand Desert Museum is proud to announce that Pamela Marshall will be presenting her one-woman show based on the live of Polish actress Helena Modjeska, who lived in Orange County from 1876 to 1909. She is Poland's most famous actress and she performed in America with Maurice Barrymore and Edwin Booth. She brought Shakespere and the classics to the Wild West. A devout Catholic and Polish Nationalist, Modjeska is one of the colorful and beloved celebrities of her times. Modjeska is played by Pamela Franklin Marshall, a professional actress who has performed on both American coasts and in England. She attended the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in Theatre Arts from the University of California Irvine. She currently teaches drama at Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest. This will be a "Dinner Show" and will be performed on March 27 at 6 p.m. at the "Opera House" in Randsburg. A talk with the artist follows the performance.
