                   Dear Class of '79,

Meanwhile, back at the Burbank Hilton, two months later .... The band is still playing
"Play That Funky Music White Boy," hoping to attract bodies to the dance floor other
than Gilbert Tapia ... Door prize raffle ticket numbers are still being read (Tim hasn't
forgiven us yet) ... Dee Dee is still fulfilling requests for photo ops (at least it's better than
being badgered by the White House Press Corp.) ... Another commotion arises in the foyer
but does not seem to bother the old friends catching up on years past and future ... Class
President Tim Ryan promises he and Lisa Thero ff will organize the 30-year reunion.

We hope all of you enjoyed our 20-year reunion. The terrific turnout Saturday night at
the Hilton was followed by a more relaxing day in the sun at Hart High, where families
ate, drank, whiffle-balled, mingled and toured our re-built alma-mater, courtesy of former
                   Hart High Principal Mr. Strauss.

Obviously, the overwhelming feeling at the reunion was to reminisce and get plugged in
to friends not communicated with over the years. Therefore, we encourage everyone to
register at the Hart High web site, at www.hart.k12.ea.us/hart/ so we can all stay in
touch through this marvelous form of communication. Not only will we enjoy chatting
with each other, but it will make the alumni search much easier, five or ten years from
now. (We firmly believe that this Internet/web thing will be with us for a while, unlike
the Class of '63 who proclaimed 8-track stereos as the ultimate technology.)

Many thanks to Elaine Foderaro from Hart High, who assisted us with many reunion
chores including the "Where Are Our Teachers Now?" update in the Memory Book.
More thanks go to Jan Munroe, who inspired our fantastic centerpieces, Teri Groves, who
rounded up our door prizes, and to Marlene and Laury Strauss, who worked the reunion
check-in table. Additional thanks to Red and Gina Smith, who diligently kept our
finances in good standing these past ten years, to Tim and Patti Ryan ( and Tim's extended
family) for the incredible job done on the name-tags, and to John Wilson for gathering the
statistical data for the door prizes.

                   Please stay in touch,

                   Tania, Lisa and Colleen
