I am attaching the photo of the Hospital site, taken 1967-69. It shows McBean Parkway coming down from I-5, and the first grading of Orchard Village Road coming in from the left. Sorry, but this is the largest resolution I have. I think this is from Newhall Land archives.
 
Note that the lots for the Orchard Village homes have been graded, but there is no sign of CalArts at the top of McBean. I used this in my PowerPoint presentation on H.M. Newhall in 2007 to show the rapid growth of Valencia, and I invariably asked anyone to name the road running slightly diagonally at the bottom and intersecting McBean. All the oldtimers got it.
