Organizational Impact: Ann-Marie is chairing the annual Boys & Girls Club Auction for the 4th year in a row.
Championing for the kids and the club daily, and supporting all staff, Ann-Marie accepted her nomination as
board president to lead and direct others on the board. Her role in the Auction includes contacting community
leaders to ask for support for the club. To create a positive relationship with a new supporter, Ann-Marie pro-
vides incentive to the supporter explaining how the help of a new business or person will positively affect the
club and the community, making sure that the relationship reflects positively on everyone. Ann-Marie has cre-
ated new partnerships and supporters. Ann-Marie’s greatest contribution is her time and effort. No matter what
she is doing, Ann-Marie is always trying to find ways to incorporate the club into it. Ann-Marie’s connections
are among her most vital assets, filling tables at events, finding volunteers, and requesting items for Auction.
Biography: Ann-Marie has been an amazing partner to the Boys & Girls Club. She puts her whole heart into
supporting the club because she believes in the mission. In addition to the club, Ann-Marie volunteers with
Legacy Christian Academy, Single Mother’s Outreach, 2020 Mom, and has been involved with the Chamber of
Commerce. All the while she is a devoted mother of two sons and helps her husband with their family business-
es: HomeSmart and California Leasing.

Organizational Impact: Julie has been instrumental in developing and
maintaining the only organized girls’ softball program in the SCV. She
demonstrates leadership in running the softball program. Without her, the program would not exist. Through her
dedication and commitment, William S. Hart has been able to bring softball to thousands of local girls, many
who have gone on to play high school and college softball.
Biography: Julie has volunteered at Hart for over 20 years. She works closely with ASA softball, which is the
governing body of softball in the United States. She coordinates the scholarship program at Hart, which annu-
ally gives thousands of dollars to students headed off to college. She is a strong advocate for the girls in our
community and works tirelessly to give them a competitive softball environment.
