Patricia Westcott Kelly lived in the Standard Oil town of Mentryville in Pico Canyon from 1933 to 1941, then moved to Newhall where her father, Fenton Westcott, worked in Standard's bulk plant. Today (2001) she frequently visits Mentryville, where she tells stories of the "old days" to visitors.
