   Via Santa Susana pass, Simi, Moor Park and Saticoy.  All concrete excepting 2.3
  miles of dirt on the eastern slope of Santa Susana pass.  It is possible that this stretch
  will be paved for the 1920 season.
   MILEAGE— ,  A very attractive drive thru a highly cultivated farming country most
     Olstane*  Q f the way.  Easy grades prevail across Santa Susana pass and road-

        Drive.  Thru 4-corners at trolley 2.0.

        RR 10.1.  Thru Chatsworth 10.2.

   •Ventura, Cal. (pop. 3,000, alt. 50 ft.)  In the  marks may  still be seen on the walls.  After
  heart of this little city may be seen what re-  1830  it was allowed  to drop  into a  state  of
                        decay.  It has been restored, but only as a
  mains  of the Mission Buenaventura, which  church and a very beautiful tower, in which
  mission was founded by Father Serra person-  the old bells  still hang and continue to call
  ally.  At one time it was the center of a great  worshipers  to  their  service.  There  is  a
  many raids and attacks by Indians.  Bullet  caretaker in charge.
