Gymnastics And Badmitton Become Two New Sports
This year, Gymnastics was
added to Canyon's long list of
athletic teams. The team was
originally planned to include
both boys and girls, but male
athletes were unenthusiastic.
Canyon ended up with another
girl team. To suppllment their
minimal equiptment, the girls
had a Cartwheel-a-than. They
raised enough money to buy a
a badly needed vaulting horse.
The team did. surprisingly
well. Although the girls were
inexperienced they weren't
lacking in spirit or determin-
ation. They managed to keep a
fairly even win-lose record.
Coach Holloman is positive next
years team will be improved
greatly, if they continue tp work
at the pace set this year.
