"With time and practice the mulberry leaf becomes a silk gown."
                                                                                              -Chinese Proverb

As 7th graders we have worked relentlessly. Mrs. Schmidt and Mr. Ortiz guided us through enjoyable science labs such as
Yeast Observation Lab and Cells Under a Microscope. We had fun on many educational field trips like our School to Career
tour at College of the Canyons. We labored over our History Day projects, various maps, and cartoons with the assistance of
Mr. Simons, Mrs. Garcia, Mrs. Chamberlin, Mrs. Magnante, and Mrs. Floyd. Ms. Frame, Ms. Emlund and Ms. Barcellos
made us work on our WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS SCRAPBOOK, but we enjoyed reading interesting novels like
THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM-1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis, intriguing poems like "I am Nobody" by
Emily Dickinson, and thought provoking short stories like "A Mother in Manville" by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. In math,
all the wonderful teachers like Dr. De Lemos, Mr. Swayze, and Mr. Broduer taught us how to buy stocks, divide fractions and
decimals. It was a busy year.
