ADRIAN ADAMS
Administrative officers in any community are those
dedicated citizens who offer leadership and guid-
ance in order to improve the society.
At Hart we are indeed fortunate to have Irvin A.
Shimmin as Superintendent of Schools, a leader in
education and a man acutely active in community
•
affairs.
Mr. George Harris, principal of Wm. S. Hart,
blessed with a love of sports, a sense of humor, and
fine leadership qualifications, provides opportunity HOWARD GULLY
for students to enjoy community life.
As officers of the state of California, the Board
of Trustees actually determine policies which govern
[
our school, its teachers, ar d its pupils.
A non-paying office, demanding a great deal of
time and study, board membership is perhaps the
finest example of community service exemplified in
local government.
