Striving,
pushing, never
giving up was the theme of this year's Girls Athletics.
As they went from volleyball to basketball, to track
and to softball, they kept up this spirit of action.
Hart competed in the Girls Desert Valley League.
The league included Canyon, Palmdale, Quartz Hills,
Paraclete and Antelope Valley.
To end each season when spirits were high, they
held banquets for the different sports. In their
free time the girls were involved in many activities,
including selling stationery posters and _h~rking
their wares at the local swap meet.
Those crazy, dizzy lettermen kept themselves busy
this year earning money for the purchase of equipment
for the athletic department. In order to raise the
necessary money, they ardently worked the concession
stands at the basketball tournament and sold programs
at _home football games. During the month of February,
they sponsored Donkey Basketball as another source
of income, and general fun for all concerned.

tact sports. They will also have representation on Executive Council with a Commissioner of Girls Athletics.
