                                                                                  The  Gold


                                                                                 Success?  Yes!
                                                                                  It  was with this attitude that the class
                                                                                  of  1984  left  its  mark  on  Hart  High
                                                                                  and the community. Throughout the
                                                                                  year,  members  of  the  graduating
                                                                                  class  pursued  their  goals  like  true
                                                                                  Olympic  athletes;  always  aware  of
                                                                                 competition,  but  always  working
                                                                                 side  by  side.
                                                                                  In  1984, few seniors shared the same
                                                                                  in  interests  or  goals.  For  example,
                                                                                 they  were  often  divided  on  their
                                                                                 after-graduation  plans.  While  some
                                                                                 looked  forward  to  attending  col-
                                                                                 leges  or  universities,  others awaited
                                                                                 apprenticeships  or  job  offers.  Few
                                                                                 seniors could agree on ways in which
                                                                                 to  spend  what  little  free  time  they
                                                                                 had,  either.  Some  enjoyed  taking
                                                                                 trips  to  the  beach  or  to  the  moun-
                                                                                 tains.  On the other hand, some pre-
                                                                                 fered  the  amenities  of  home:  mov-
                                                                                 ies,  food,  and  T.V.
                                                                                 Despite  these  differences  between  ·
                                                                                 its  members,  the  class  of  1984  was
                                                                                 unified.  With  their  eyes  on  the
                                                                                 "gold," the seniors of 1984 worked
                                                                                 together  to  make  their  last  year  the
                                                                                 best  ever.
