Most students took school activities for granted. But
who was the propelling force behind the dances,
brunch activities, and rallies? The Associated

Todd Arnhart. Nevertheless, waking up atthe crack of
dawn was necessary to ensure the success of each
activity; whether it was buying kazoos for a football
rally, hiring a DJ for prom, or handing out green bagels
during Homecoming week.
Like any other club, ASB had its share of
unforgettable moments. Executive board president
Jessica Henderson's favorite recollection was "when
I went to Tempo to buy about fifty CDs for the ASB
office to play at lunch and brunch and stuff. Mrs.
Whitney handed me about $500 in cash and I went to
the register. I pulled a Wayne's World: 'Do you accept
cash? Cha-ching!"'
Through the years, the more experienced
members learned some important life lessons. "I truly
think it has made me a better person because it has
taught me a lot about leadership, friendship, equality,
and much more! I love ASB!" raved sophomore
secretary Kasey Weber. Furthermore, senior class
president Megan Manning vowed to go out and "take
overtheworld." For most members, being inASB had
its share of secrets not known by the majority of
students. Being aware of the latest news was a simple
pleasure that some, including freshman Cole Cannon,
frequently enjoyed. "I like being one of the few people
who actually know what's going on behind the scenes."
