The newest man on campus didn't shy away in the corner of
his English class or sit alone at lunch. No, the new kid pushed
his way into the center of the crowds and gave free drinks out
at brunch. The new kid wasn't a freshman or a senior. The new
          kid was principal, Mr. Fuller.
Throughout the year, students became acquainted
with the new principal and discovered he had an interesting
past. Born in Taft, California, Mr. Fuller enjoyed his elementary
through high school years, studying and socializing. He realized
the importance of his education when he attended Cal State
Northridge. Later, he transferred to Birmingham University to major in Physical Education and
          Social Science.
After college, he landed his first job as a teacher; other jobs soon followed . Before he
came to campus, he was the Planning Principal of another high school and the Superintendent
          of El Tejon Unified District.
With a positive outlook, Mr. Fuller encouraged students to work hard, to set high goals,
and to strive to be their best. One of his students was his son Garrett. Because they attended
the same school, Mr. Fuller spent time with his son, a time most fathers and sons didn't have.
He commented, "We have a great time together!"
After school, the principal fished, hunted, exercised, and read. In addition, he enjoyed "[The students] are
the outdoors and time with his family. He also found joy by helping teens find success. He simply wonderful,
advised others to " ... be the best person possible."
Approaching his first year with a commitment to create a "home for students," Mr. Fuller and the best! They
knew the school needed to continue the tradition of pride and "excellence that has been
established by former administrators, teachers, parents, and students. This wonderful spirit are the heart of
exists in the staff, the parents, and the students." As principal, Mr. Fuller saw teenagers choose
future paths. He strived to prepare students for the 21st century by incorporating technology into Hart!"
education. Mr. Fuller concluded, "[The students] are simply wonderful and the best! They are
          the heart of Hart!"
