AZTEC DANCE
4 yrs and up
The Concheros dance, also known as the
Chichimecas, Aztecas and Mexicas is an import-
ant traditional dance and ceremony that has
been performed in the Mexican culture since
early in the colonial period. Mexican-Americans
have made Aztec dance a way to preserve
their culture. They have also made it available
to anyone who wants to explore their indigenous
cultural history.
