Dear Friends and Supporters of the Club,

Mike and I are so honored to co-chair the auction for the fourth year. Many people told us what a
great time they have had the past few years, and together, we raised a lot of money for the Club. In
celebration of the Club's 50th year, we chose the theme "All that Glitters is Gold" to highlight this
monumental golden anniversary.

It's a real "full circle" moment for Mike and I, you see, Mike was a Club kid too! Coming to the
Emblem Clubhouse was a big part of his early adolescent years. The Club gave him a place to go
after school where he learned about teamwork and community, and he always felt safe. Mike was
given great opportunities and can attribute part of his success today to his years at the Boys & Girls
Club. We know about many of the challenges facing kids today and we understand firsthand, what
sort of impact the Club can make in a young person's life - changing and shaping their entire future.

Our sincere thanks go out to all of our sponsors, donors, volunteers and our guests in the room tonight
- because tonight does not happen without all of them and all of you!

So, once again, tonight is about revisiting the great memories we have made over the years while
making a real difference in the lives of the children in the Santa Clarita Valley. We hope that you
enjoy the evening knowing that you are making a life changing difference for a child. You are helping
to ensure that Santa Clarita remains the best place to live, work and play, by being here tonight and
supporting the Club! So please, be generous, open your hearts and be the change!
