a registered lobbyist in Sacramento for the Castaic Lake Water Agency, which is now the Santa Clarita Valley
Water Agency. Braly has been a resident of Santa Clarita since 1989, where he resides with his wife, Pamela.
They have two adult daughters, Alexandra and Morgan, who also live in Santa Clarita.

Organizational Impact: During the time Steve has been an active member of the COC Foundation Board
he has served in a number of key leadership roles that have had an impact of fundraising efforts includ-
ing the $100,000 raised for the new Culinary Arts Center, and the $500,000 for the First Year Promise
Campaign that gives qualified students the opportunity to attend COC for free during the first year of
study.
Biography: Steve has been employed in the Real Estate Settlement (Escrow) Industry for 25 years. His journey
in the Escrow Industry followed work in the field of Telecommunications with Siemens as a district manager.
Newhall Escrow Company, being a family business, was established in 1963 and has served the Real Estate
Industry for over 52 years. Steve transitioned to owner in 2004, and has since grown the company to be one of
the premier escrow companies in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Organizational Impact: In addition to speaking at community hearings and writing letters in support of air
quality safeguards for our community, Jeremiah manages the social media and provides tech support for the
Civic Association’s events. He keeps its members up to date through Facebook posts, etc. of local environmen-
tal events, posts about the Santa Clara River, waste reduction or other issues they are working on. In addition
to managing a job and family duties, he supports events and is an active and reliable board member who brings
creative ideas to our strategy and goal setting processes in a non-confrontation, consensus-building manner. Jer-
emiah encouraged all members of the Val Verde community to participate in the planning process for the Chiq-
uita Canyon Landfill expansion to have their issues addressed even though there were language barriers. He
worked with others to bring these problems to the County offices, along with making sure bi-lingual flyers and
