               Message

In a w0rld of change, it is of great importance to have
our school experiences recorded and preserved so that we
may look back and reminisce . of days gone by - days that
were filled with accomplishment, friends, and fun. This
pictorial parade of junior high life is made possible through
the efforts and abilities of the Nugget staff. I wish to extend
to them my personal thanks along with the appreciation of
the entire staff and student body. We will be forever grateful
to them for. providing this excellent capsule of the year's
   events.
The year was marked not only by the personal
achievements of some fourteen hundred Miners, but was
noteworthy for successes in sports, production of a spring
musical, a myrfad of activities by various clubs and organi-
zations, and the ever present Placerita spirit and pride.
These are the qualities that are instilled in each Miner who
attends Placerita Junior High School. It is these traits that
will serve each of you well as you leave here and go to other
schools and added experiences. They will provide you with
a solid base upon which to build your future in a world of
   changing times.

Mr. Curwen, Dean Mr. Tanner, Asst. Principal
