The Winter Formal waJ held in the Jmall gym on
December 11th. TranJformed from a gymnaJium
into a cabaret- type atmoJphere, the Jmall gym waJ
barely recognizable. SeniorJ worked for weekJ cut-
ting mowflakeJ for the wall and getting local
buJineJJeJ to contribute materia/J for decorationJ.
When the magic night arrived, all waJ ready.
Candlelight provided the finishing touch to the ·
romantic glow of a Jmall "fireplace'. " AJ hundredJ
of coupleJ danced to the JoundJ of othen eagerly
awaited the announcement of the court and the
crowning of the king and queen.

queen. Her king waJ Brad 0Jment. Other memberJ
of the court including repreJentativeJ from each of
the cla'.ueJ other than Jenior Jhared a court dance
aJ the evening drew to a cloJe. The activitieJ of the
Jenior claJJ are many, but none provideJ Juch a
feeling of unity and pride aJ the Jtaging of thiJ
formal dance. Winter Formal '82, "FroJt and
Firelight," waJ another JUCceJJ in a well-
eJtabliJhed Centurion tradition of JUCceJJeJ.
