VETERANS DAY

The Santa Clarita City Council invites all residents and
guests to the City's annual Veterans Day Ceremony
to honor Santa Clarita veterans and currently-serving
military members. The Veterans Day Ceremony is hosted
in partnership with local veterans organizations and will
take place on Monday, November l l, beginning at l l :00
a.m. at Veterans f-listorical Plaza in Old Town Newhall
(24275 N. Walnut Street). Join the City Council for this
special event, which will feature musical performances,
guest speakers and the changing of the flags.

SANTA CLARITA MARATHON

The 24th annual Santa Clarita Marathon, presented by Parkway
Motorcars, will take place over two days, on November 2-3.
Runners are encouraged to dress up as their favorite hero this
year and unite to conquer the Santa Clarita Marathon f-.leroes
f;:dition! In addition to a marathon, the weekend will also feature
a half marathon, l OK and SK run and the Mayor's Walk. A free
f-.lealth and !=itness bpo, presented by Boston Scientific will be

LIGHT UP MAIN STREET

The unofficial kickoff to the holiday season is Light Up Main in Old Town Newhall! Join
thousands of your closest friends as Main Street is transformed into a winter wonderland
on Saturday, November 16, at 6:00 p.m. You and your family will enjoy music and dancing
with performances by local groups. Performances begin at 6:00 p.m. and the thousands of
lights and 23-foot Christmas tree will be illuminated at 7:30 p.m. OldTownNewhall.com
