This 1 )55-acre area includes approximately 5.35
acres of ACOE and RWQCB jurisdiction, none of
which consists of jurisdictional wetlands and
approximately 5.71 acres ofCDFG jurisdiction
( of which 0.3 I acre is vegetated riparian habitat).
2. The preservation of J .53 acres of southern vernal
pool and arlificial pool habitats within the SRCA
subject to RWQCB jurisdiction.
3. On-site establishment of7.27 acres of
sycamore/cottonwood riparian woodland within
Plum Canyon.
As described further in the HMMP, the proposed 7.27-
acre sycamore riparian woodland (mitigation site) will
be established within portions of Plum Canyon on-site
within the SRCA as sho'Wll in Figure 4.C-7, Proposed
Conservation and Mitigation Areas, on page 4.C-74.
Hydrology is currently present at the mitigation site
and the mitigation site supports Cortina sandy loam
and Saugus loam which are conducive to the
establishment of sycamore riparian woodland. An
ACOE-approved reference site will be used prior to
implementation of the mitigation program to provide
the necessary data to measure the performance of the
mitigation site.
