JV and Freshman Volleyball

Freshman captain, Melissa Quicho
says the frosh girl's volleyball team
has some specific goals for the
year: pull together as a team, and
have a winning year. They have
already had many situations
where they had to work as a
team, on and off the court. In
one instance, their coach wasn't
able to make it to the game and they had to work extra
hard to pull together as a team. Melissa especially likes
volleyball for the team experience. Off the court, one of
the most exciting, and embarrassing things the girls go
through is the freshman kidnapping, a real team building
event. The frosh girls show their team spirit by wearing
purple and black socks and purple ribbons in their hair on
game days.

Ashley Jucksch
Ashley Jucksch, captain of the girl's
JV Volleyball team, plans on making
this years team the best JV team
in the history of Valencia High
School. Ash is a devoted player and
truly enjoys the sport 'Volleyball is
fun because it's a fast moving team Junior Varsity (top
