Boys Varsity Soccer

Senior Ryan Schauer has been
playing soccer for f 3 years. He first
started playing AYSO when he was
younger, then went to the club level
where he's been playing since he
was IO years old. This is only Ryan's
second year on Valencia's team. He
joined the team when he was a
junior and was put on varsity right
away. The positions that he plays
on the team are center, midfield,
and stopper, which require him to
run the field for the ball and to
protect their goal. Ryan enjoys the
team practices, which last 15-20
hours a week. Being a part of the
team has been fun because he has
had an opportunity to make friends
and he gets the feeling that he's a
part of a meaningful experience.
His favorite memories of the team
were the bus rides home from
games. After high school, Ryan plans
on going to Cal Poly San Luis
Obispo where he hopes to play on
the soccer team. But he says if he
doesn't get on the team, he would
play intramural and just play for fun
while studying hard.
