Freight Train Jumps Track Near Ravenna, 2 Injured

Delayed By A Wreck.
A Freight Train Jumped the Track Near Ravenna.

The north bound passenger train, No. 20, due in Fresno at 11 o'clock yesterday morning, was delayed by a wreck and did not arrive here until 10:30 last night. A freight train was wrecked near Ravenna, in the Soledad canyon, and the passenger train could not pass until the wreck was cleared.

Two engines and five cars jumped the track, but little damage was done. Only one car was damaged to any extent.

Conductor Boles and Engineer Priest were slightly injured. Boles was riding on the engine and he was bruised about the head and back. Engineer Priest was scalded about the face and right leg by escaping steam.

Passenger train No. 18 was also delayed. It did not arrive in Fresno until about 3 o'clock in the morning.
