Doris M. Boydston


Doris May Boydston, age 92 of Santa Clarita, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. She was born on December 23, 1920 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Doris worked as a Registered Nurse for 50 years and earned a Bachelors of Science in Health Services Administration in 1982. Doris also served in the United States Army Nurse Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1945. Doris lived her life as a faithful Christ follower within her community and participated in several Christian organizations.

Doris leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Ronald Boydston of Vashon, Washington; Kenneth Boydston of Ojai, California; Timothy Boydston of Santa Clarita, California; David Boydston of Lago Vista, Texas; her daughters, Janet Feeder of Santa Clarita, California; Beth Lenton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Norene Suchsland of Brentwood, California; 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Boydston, her son Dean Boydston, her granddaughter Celeste Boydston, and her brother Hugh Riley.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park.

Doris will be missed by many on this earth but will joyfully meet again with all God's children in glory.
