Generoso Sandoval "Gene" Flores
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Universal Studios, NBC

Generoso S. (Gener/Gene) Flores — passed away peacefully, in the comfort of his own home, in Santa Clarita, CA, on Friday, June 29, 2018, at the age of 73, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on October 27, 1944, in Santa Cruz, Laguna, Philippines, to Augusto and Anita (Sandoval) Flores. As Gene grew up, he pursued a career in accounting and went on to work at Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, while helping care for his siblings.

It is through this career path that he met Annabella, and they married on March 17, 1973. Together they had three children, whom they provided security and stability for by moving to Los Angeles, CA, in 1985. It was there that he started a 25-year long career at Universal Studios.

When Gene wasn't working he enjoyed playing golf, following the Dodgers and the Lakers, and smothering his babies with hugs and kisses.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Annabelle (Bella), his sons Glenn (Kristina) and Gilbert (Susan), his daughter Gail, and his five grandchildren, Isabelle, Malia, Aline, Tyler, & Elijah. He is also survived by his mother, Nita Flores, younger brother Eliezer, younger sisters Doris, Annielyn and Dorothy, their spouses, and his many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father Augusto Flores and his younger brother Renato Flores.

His joyful and caring nature, bright smile, and sense of humor will live on in their hearts and in the hearts of his extended families and close friends.
