James Vincent Nozzi passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the age of 57. Jim was born in Canoga Park, CA in 1955; he moved to Canyon Country, CA when he was 5. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1973. He majored in music and accounting at Cal State Northridge and he received an Associate Degree in business at The College of the Canyons in 2000.
Jim was always there whenever people needed him. In his younger days he enjoyed boy scouting with the neighboring Kreyenhagens, Lindbergs, Smiths, and Bells. Music was his passion. Jim played lead guitar and performed in local venues with his friends in the band "Oasis", "4 On-The-Floor", and others.
He is survived by his parents, John and Marie Nozzi; his fiancée, Holy Mikula; his brothers, John Jr (Edith) and Jayme (Donna); his nieces, Maria and Caitlin; his Uncle Joe and Aunt Nozzi and their children: Jane (Bob) Jacobi, Cora (George) Szeless, and Paul (Aimee) and their children: Derek and Lacey and Nina and Amber; his Uncle Mark and Aunt Elizabeth Abell and their son David (Anjianette); his Uncle Angelo and Aunt Irene Mico and their daughter Christina; his Uncles Jerry Gore and Joseph Dantonio and their families.
A viewing will be held from 4-8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013 in the Visitation Room at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 N. Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. A Memorial Service will be held at the grave site at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
