Suzette Marie Thompson

Suzette Marie Willett Thompson, age 78, previously residing in Saugus, California, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 in Burbank after a long struggle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Emphysema.

Born on July 20, 1939, in Chicago (Cook County, Ill.) to Ann Dragan Willett and Edward Joseph Willett, she married Samuel Ralph Thompson Jr. and became a mother of three daughters: Anna Marie Kephart, Alice Lynne Thompson-Balan and Anita Jeanne Gannon.

She became a proud Grandma to Daniel Lee Kephart, Patrick Christopher Kephart, Jeremy Alec Balan, Andrew Adam Kephart, Veronica Marie Gannon, Stephen Nicolaas Gannon, Mark Thomas Gannon and Elizabeth Anne Gannon and Nana (Great-Grandma) to Paisley Brook Kephart, Ellie Lynn Kephart and Elijah Shae Balan. Survived and loved by Anna Marie Kephart (Daniel Gerald Kephart), Alice Lynne Thompson-Balan (Jeffrey Howard Balan) and Anita Jeanne Gannon (James Gerard Gannon) and all grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, step-father Nicolaas Willem van Veen, older brother Myron Willett, aunt Mary Dragan Walker and beloved grandparents Myron and Olga Dragan.

She worked in a variety of areas: Saint Joseph Medical Center-Food Service, United States Postal Service-Postal Clerk, Grocery Clerk, Data Inputting and was an avid bowler plus President and Treasurer of the Women's 500 Club. In addition to her work and bowling, she also spent time working with the Italian Catholic Federation Branch 102, where she served as President, Secretary and Treasurer for many years.

Services are being held at San Fernando Mission, 11160 Stranwood Ave, Mission Hills, CA on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to one of the following non-profit organizations: Arbor Day Foundation, American Lung Association or ASPCA.
