Have you ever wondered why in the
world our teachers decided to teach
here? Well, we put the question to them Al Scrase - Reading Lab, English,
Social Studies
and asked them what they found. Here's
what they said ... I was merely LOOKING FOR a teach-
ing position when I was hired to teach at
Bowman. With additional education
and four years. of teaching reading, I
feel this has been one of the highlights
of my life. In reflection, I was LOOK-
ING FOR a challenging situation
where I could help and share my knowl-
edge and experiences in a positive man-
ner.

JoAnn Ward - SocialStudies

When I came to Bowman High
School I was LOOKING FOR a
school with an alternative learning
environment. I wanted to work in a
school where students are treated as
individuals- not numbers. I think
that because of the personal atten-
tion that's available, students are fi-
nally able to succeed in school.

Shirley Wheeler - English
I was LOOKING FOR a small school
where I could relate to the whole stu-
dent, where I could have a conversation
with a student that revolved around
their lives as well as their ideas. Bow-
man is that place!
