Updates from the Trading Post
The FOHP Gift Store is busy restocking merchandise after a very successful end of the
year. New and replacement stock will soon be on the shelves in anticipation of the up-
coming April Cowboy Festival which will once again be held in Hart Park. With free ad-
mission this year we are looking for a really big weekend crowd to come to our Park
and to drop in at the Trading Post Gift Store. Visitors will find an excellent stock of Bill
Hart items (movies, books, and souvenirs), Western and Native American jewelry,
books on local history and the West (many are out-of-print and single copies only),
leather and fabric purses, and home decorations with a Western theme. Shoppers will
also find framed copies of Cowboy Festival posters from years past as well as framed
Western sheet music and antique vegetable and fruit labels. Our Store has come to be
known as the "go to" place for Native American jewelry and Western items in the Santa
Clarita Valley. Be sure to drop by on a weekend day and take a look, and we hope to
see you at the Festival! The old log cabin store behind the Trading Post will once again
be set up for a used book sale during the Festival. Thousands of books will be priced
between $.25 and $1.00. The collection will include children's and adult books, includ-
ing Westerns, Western History, Civil War, U.S. History, Art, Craft, Cooking, Native
American, Travel, Pet, Mystery/Suspense/Sci-Fi/Vampire/Popular/Classic, etc. novels.
