                                   Agreeneit  and  Negative  Ceclaration,  with  the  Santa  Clarita
                                   Valley  Historical  Society,  for  the  provision  of  operatin:J  a
                                   historical  museum  at  William  s.  Hart  Park.  SUl:sequentl y,  the
                                   Scciety  has  successfully  relocated  the  Saugus  Pailway  station
   '11,;K AN/J RU.'R/:'ATION       onto  Hart  Park,  CClllpleted  the  restoration  arrl  has  operated
                                   said  facility  as  a  historical  museum  for  the  benefit  of  the
       COMMISSION

                                   desire  to  save  as  many  l:uildirgs  as  possible  that  played  an
                                   inq;:ortant  arrl  significant  role  in  the  creation  of  the  Santa
                                   Clarita Valley.

                                  ·Un:ler  a  tenporary  pennit,  a  number  of  these  l:uildirgs  have
                                   already  teen  relocated  onto  Hart  Park.  'Ihis  was  necessary  to
                                   save  arrl  preserve  the  ruildings  fran  destruction  by  varrlalism
                                   or  denoli tion,  pen:ling  the  CCtT4Jletion  of  a  site  plan  that
                                  ~d identify  the  placement  of  historical  b.lildings  within
                                   the  park  area.       '!his  plan  has  now  been  catpleted  an::l
                                   identifies  those  lccations  within  Hart  Park  where  historical
                                  l:uildirgs  significant  to  the  Santa  Clarita  Valley  arrl
                                  surrourxling  areas  can  l:e  relocated.  Both  the  existin:J  arrl
                                  redesignated  park  premises  are  located·  on  C'otn1ty  purchased
                                  property,  arrl  are  not  part  of  the  park  property  grante::1
