REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON CONSERVATION AND PLANNING

An act to provide for the acquisition of a state park in the
County of Los Angeles as a,part of the State Park System,
and making an appropriation.
The people of the State of California do enact aii follows:

1 SECTION 1. The State Park Commission is hereby author-
2 ized and directed to enter into negotiations for, and is hereby
3 authorized to acquire by purchase or by eminent domain, a site
4 in Placeritos Canyon in the County of Los .Angeles, near New-
5 hall, for a state park to be a part of the State Park System.
6 SEc. 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the State
7 Park Fund the sum of one hundred thous~nd dollars ($100,000)
8 to be expended during the Ninety-ninth and One-hundredth
g Fiscal Years to carry out the provisions of this- act.
