An act to provide for the acquisition of a sta"te park in the
County of Los Angeles as a part of the State Park System,
and making an appropriation.

The ,people of the State of California do enact as follows:

1 SECTION 1. The State Park Commission is hereby author-
2 ized and directed to enter into negotiations for, and is hereby
3 authorized to acquire by purchase or by eminent domain, a site
4 in Placeritos Canyon in the County of Los Angeles, near New-
5 hall, for a state park to be a part of the State Park System.
6 SEC. 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the State
7 Park Fund the sum of fflte ffi:ffidred-thousand ~ ($100,000)
.,, 8 fifteen thousand doliars ($15,000) to be expended during the
9 Ninety-ninth and One Hundredth Fiscal Years to carry out
10 the provisions of this act.
11 SEC. 3. No portion of this appropriation shall be
12 expended unless moneys equal to or in excess of the amount to
13 be -expended from this appropriation for said purpose shall i
14 have been made available (by any person, corporation, political • , I
15 subdivision, public district or pitblic agency other than the
16 State) for expenditure by the State for that purpose, to the
17 end that any sums expended from this appropriation shall be
18 matched by like or greater amounts from sources other than
19 the State.
