                                                                           Activities are the outgrowth of
                                                                         school spirit.  Although a new
                                                                         school,  Saugus had numerous
                                                                         successful activities throughout
                                                                         the year.  These included dances,
                                                                         pep rallies,  dress-up days,  car
                                                                         washes,  and even a teacher auc-
                                                                         tion.
                                                                           Two hundred years ago people
                                                                         from  widely varied backgrounds
                                                                         joined together to form a

  j                                                                      In like manner,  the Saugus Cen-
                                                                         turions united to support the vast
                                                                         array of events that set the tone
                                                                         of spirit and cooperation that
                                                                         Saugus High was known for.

                                        ing trees by the gym.  (4)  Karen Doane leaves school'after Cheerleader practice.  (5) Bret
                                        Boswell and classmates work on a surveying problem in the field.
