Sporting events provide a
for school spirit. Spirit begins a1
practice, continues through pep
rallies, and culminates at the
game.
Practices are very important.
The participants learn good
sportsmanship. They learn to
work, not just as individuals, but
as a team , striving for the good
of the whole .
Coaches have a chance to get
to know the players' ability and,
in turn, the players have an
opportunity to observe the
coaches' ability to stay calm
during difficult situations.
With all this, plus the spirit of
each individual, the teams,
coaches, and students of Saugus
never lose in the basic sense,
because spirit is with them
always.
