     Beaches of Time The Rosebud

I walk the sandy beaches of time Friendship is like a rosebud
Looking for a moment of romance That grows from day to day,
Looking for a moment of peace And even though we argue
And the waves feel my presence. Our friendship's on its way

As I take my midnight quest To growing and becoming
I feel a grain of uncertainty The type we want to share
I feel a grain of loneliness By giving and forgiving
And the moon lights the sea. And showing that we care.

I'm searching for a new answer So when you're down and lonely
To a deeply mysterious question And your face a frown then shows,
To an unknown thought Just think of me your friend
And the air frees my troubled mind. And then you'll really know

I can see the world clearly now How much I really care for you
I see a world of war How much I want to be
I see a world of little hope There for you and listening
And the gull is losing its will to fly. And have you there for me.
                                                                                by LeeAnn Rasmussen
I begin to wonder about the world
Perhaps there is a guiding light
Perhaps there is a glimmer of hope A smile came 'cross her lips
But the waves are now only ripples. As we sat on the steps
                                                                   Laughing with our eyes
As I come to the end of the beach Watching a sunset
I wonder if the world will end so quickly Creep into dusk
I wonder if the world will end so gently Entrance by twilight
And the tear that fills my eye is not of happiness. Reflected in her eyes
                                                                   I lingered .. .
Then I can see the answer tarried .. .
There is not enough Romance I stayed
There is not enough peace (if any)
And the gull has caught its second wind. by Erin Headley

Soon I'll answer the first Direction
I'll find a partner to walk with
I'll find a partner to speak with If you were to be, the star
And J fear the time is ending. of the show
Would you stay by your girl
Suddenly I wake from my dream or get up and go?
With no romance in my world You've seen how I love her
With no peace in anybody's world and she loves me, too.
And I close my eyes on reality. What would you do-
                                                                     if you had a part?

                                                                       by a poet
