                 1.     Chris·  DeWitt        Supplemental        Report          Provi~ed  additional
                 information         on     restoration          task      details       and      estimated
                 labor/material  costs.  In  process  of  extracting  information  needed
                 for  static  display  restoration  plan.

                 2.     Met  with  cabinetmaker,  Mike  Btrd,  who  provided  a  quote  to
                 replace  the  woodwork  in  the  cab:  $1300.             {Does  not  include  cost  of
                 steel  to  replace  rusted  panels  and  labor  to  weld,  finish,  and
                paint).      Recommend  that  work  commence  immediately  on  this  portion
  l1            of  the  project.            Steel  wi 11      be  needed,  not  to  exceed  $500,
                 initially  for  floor  and  rusted  panels.

                 3.     In  process  of  obtaining  a  quote  on  replacing  the  sheet  metal
                on      the     boiler        and     simulated         insulation         (polystyrene).
                Installation,  finishing,  and  painting  are  required  as  well.
                 4.     Cost  of  building  to  protect  locomotive  and  tender  is  being
                 sought.

                 5.     Restoration  costs  for  remainder  of  locomotive  and  tender  are
  D             being  determined.


                 6.     Invoice  received  from  Cal-OSHA  for  inspection  on  4/29/97  for
  0             $210.

                 7.     Committee  meeting  proposed  for  3:00  to  4:00  p.m.  on  Sunday,
