The name of this corporation shall be SANTA CLARITA VALLEY

HISTORICAL SOCIETY.

The purposes for which this corporation is formed are:

(a) The specific and primary purposes are for the

collection, preservation, and publication of any and all papers,
books, documents, photos, prints, records, etc., that have any his-

torical significance to Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas.

(b) Notwithstanding any of the above statements of

purposes and powers, this corporation shall not, except to an· insub-

stantial degree, engage in any activities or exercise any powers th~t

are not in furtherance of the primary purpose of this corporation •

. (c) No substantial part of the activities of ·this cor-

poration shall consist of carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempt-

ing to influence legislation, and the corporation shall not participate

or intervene in any political campaign (including the publishing or

distribution of statements) on behalf of any candidate for public

office.

profit Corporation Law of the State of California.
