Tiburcio Vasquez Bubble Gum Card
Local Outlaw

The Leaf Candy Co. of Chicago had no idea what Tiburcio Vasquez looked like when it issued this trading card in 1966.

No. 2 in a 72-card series, "Good Guys and Bad Guys."

Founded in 1940, the Leaf Candy Co. (aka Leaf Gum Co., Leaf Confectionery Co.) started publishing bubble gum cards in 1948. It was a major gum and card maker through the 1960s. It subsequently went through many mergers and acquisitions, both domestically and internationally; to the extent the name might exist today, it bears little relation to the original company.
