Realty Executives bio, 2017

For over 28 years, Nancy has been an active local Real Estate Salesperson and was the President of the Southland Regional Association of Realtors, SCV Division, 4 times, 1998, 1999, 2009 & 2014. She served on the SCV Board for over 24 years.

Currently, Nancy is 2017 President of Southland Regional Association of Realtors with a membership of approximately 10,000.

For 9 years, Nancy has been Chair of the Government Affairs Committee, SCVD, She is a former Foundation Trustee, a Member of the Local Candidate Review Committee as well as a Director on the SRAR Board. She has served as SRAR Chair of Government Affairs.

Since 1990, Nancy has been working on a volunteer basis with the Association of Realtors in Local Government Affairs, Education, Budget & Finance, Nominating, Marketing, Multiple Listing Service, Special Events, By Laws Committee, and Communications. She has been Installation Chair and she participated in the Regionalization and Merger of the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys into the Southland Regional Association of Realtors.

Nancy is a California Association of Realtors Director, with a membership of approximately 190,000 members. She is the Regional Representative for the Legislative Committee, serves on the Local Government Forum and the Business Investment Committees. She has also served as the Vice Chair of the State Realtor Action Fund Committee.

Nancy is also a Director, and Member/Liaison of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs and Transportation Committee. She currently sits on the Executive Committee. In addition, she is a Director of the EDC, Economic Development Corporation in Santa Clarita Valley.

Among her many achievements, she is the recipient of: SRAR Realtor of the Year 2015; SCVD Member of the Year in 2001 & 2012; Carmen Sarro Woman of the Year in 2008; SRAR Service award 2011; President's Award 2013; Nominated for the 2016 Santa Clarita Valley Woman of the Year; TOP 51 Most Influential People in Santa Clarita Valley; Woman of the Year 2016 for the 38th Assembly District.

In addition, she has the following accomplishments: Top 1 percent in Sales and Listings at Realty Executives; No. 16 out of 350 agents in Sales at Realty Executives; Recipient of "Highest Sale" in the History of Realty Executives.

For 7 years Nancy worked on the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Foundation for the Christmas Home Tour, as a designer, a fundraiser, a volunteer and sang for the Fellowship Circle. She worked with the Home Town Jamboree as Silent Auction Chair. As a young woman, she won a scholarship in Opera at CSUN. Nancy sang at "Burnt Sulphur" for the Sulphur Springs Elementary School, performed at the Santa Clarita Valley Footlight Follies and at the HMNMH Founders Circle.

Nancy has been on the Board of the SCV Youth Project since 2000. She has held the position of President, Secretary and Member at Large. She has personally raised over $100,000 for the Youth Project.

In 2014 Nancy's Council was successful in raising over $35,000 for local charities in Santa Clarita. Nancy has also supported and been a fundraiser for Child Spree, Spark of Love, the Senior Center, College of the Canyons, Betty Ferguson Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Child and Family Development, Michael Hoefflin Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club and the Local Food Pantry in Santa Clarita.

Nancy speaks ASL, sign language. Since childhood, she has assisted the deaf at the School for the Deaf at Riverside, CSUN, Birmingham High School and Arminta Elementary School.

Nancy is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has been with her husband for 54 years! Her passion is gardening, birding and interior design. When time permits, Nancy & Allen love to travel — especially with their two Weimaraners: Piper and Quinn.
