Rivendale | Towsley Canyon

Arnett house circa 1975, showing the detached garage with upstairs studio apartment under construction at left.

Caption on back of photograph reads: "This is the road coming up to the house. The dip crossing goes over a little creek that goes through the property. When it rains the water in the creek goes over the top. You can see the garage we are building. There is a little apartment above it."

Now called the "Towsley Lodge," the house is located up the hill at what is now Ed Davis Park at Towsley Canyon, on land owned by the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. The Conservancy uses the apartment over the garage as a caretaker quarters.
