This photograph was taken in 1902 using the stereoview process. The stereoview was produced in a variety of forms between 1851 and 1940. It consists of a double photograph that, when viewed with a special stereoscope, appears as a three dimensional or solid image. Stereoviews were mass produced in a variety of processes, including daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, flat cards, and curved cards.
