Sprolicing Fun
Bubble gum blowing, hot rods, and VW stuffing
were all a part of the excitement at Sprolic
Week when class competition reached its climax
for 1982. The week started off with a bubble gum
bubble blowing contest that junior Jamie Wen-
dell won hands down, wiping out all opponents.
Grease a pole, stick twenty dollars on top, and
see wriat kind of monkey will climb to get it. Hart
had not only one monkey, but two. Using team-
work, Calvin Cox and David Slaughter proved
that they didn't monkey around when ten bucks
were at stake. They divided their prize money as
soon as they swung down from the pole.
Monkey.s weren't the only animals found as Spro-
lic Week. Seventeen freshmen, sixteen sopho-
mores, eleven juniors, and fifteen seniors did their
sardine imitation at the VW stuffing class compe-
tition. The freshmen won but they had their size
working on their side. Juniors Mitch Gillespie and
Mark Sullivan stuffed themselves as they won the
Big-Mac eating contest. The contest might have
been fun, but neither of them will ever eat an-
other Big-Mac again.
Pull, pull, grunt, grunt! The mid-week tug of-war
was no easy taffy-pull. Everyone had a great
time but the senior boys and girls pulled it off in
the end. The wheel chair race was thought to be
a shoe-in for Hart's resident wheel chair expert
Jay Travers, but darkhorse Mr. Dave Munroe took
first place in the Sprolic Wheel-Chair Race.

technique in the greased-pole climbing High Car Show. Although so many premium cars

made judging a tough job, first place winners
were: Best Overall Car-Stephan Rau; Best Look-
ing Car-Ray Maxon; and Most Popular Car-Bill
Wolfe.
The Future Business Leaders of America spon-
sored a dunk tank and the sophomore class won
the dry-ski race.
The highlight of Sprolic Week was Thursday night
when Hart held its first drive-in movie on the foot-
ball field. Young Frankenstein was the flick . that
students viewed from assorted lounge chairs and
blankets.
The overall class competition winners were the
seniors with 120 points which helped to prove
Sprolic Week 1982 the best ever.
