Reduce, reuse, & recycle! Sophomores
Bonnie Cosley and Carly Boyd try to
make a difference by recycling classroom
papers.
Many sophomores wanted to make
a difference in others' lives whether it was in the community,
the country, or the world. An important part of world alteration
was caring for the fellow man. "I think a good attitude is a key
to influencing others. Smiles rub off, and if you brighten
someone's day, they may brighten someone else's and so on,
kind of like a chain reaction," explained Chris Ward.
Beth Powder felt that universal acceptance would end
some problems and make a definite difference. She emphasized
the need for a united effort among divergent groups of people.
"We should be able to look at each other acceptingly, not
hatefully. We should be able to care about ourselves and
everyone else at the same time."
The environment was a great concern for some
Cara Franze sophomores. They believed that
Lux, Carlos cleaning up the Earth and restoring it
Macias, Jessica was most important. Alex Kahl
Magon, Robin
expressed such views. "We can make
Mamayson, Jacqueline
our mark by not leaving any marks.
If we can be remembered as the ones
who saved the Earth from death by
pollution, that would be great."
These sophomores had a
Mangat, Jyoti
positive outlook for the future. They
Mapp, Collin
believed that they could make the
Marshall, Jennifer
Martin, Bret world a better place. They also knew
that they already had what they would
need to change the world - desire.
