Many SCV teenagers wake up to jobs!
Sophomore ShaneAlbrentmakeschange
for a customer at Breslers' Ice Cream.
As students in Malibu woke up
to the pounding waves crashing against the shore, students
of Las Vegas woke up to the flashing lights of local casinos,
students of Chicago woke up to the howling wind, and
students of Santa Clarita woke up to ...
"I'm about to go insane. We are too sheltered here; if I
lived somewhere else I wouldn't be as weird. I'd have so
much pressure out of my system. I'd be a well-rounded
person!" exclaimed Kelley Fielder.
Students' lives were impacted, for better or for worse
wherever they lived. Chara Neal stated, "If I lived in Beverly
Hills I'd probably be a snob, and if I lived in a ghetto I'd be
much crankier. Living in the Santa Clarita Valley has put me
somewhere in between."
Many students thought that Cara Franze
Millar, Jensen
living in this valley had helped them
Miller, Jaimie
become better people. Jaimie Miller
Mitchell, Nicholas
noted, "Santa Clarita has made my
Molina, Rhonda
personality very good. Most of the
people in this Valley have great
personalities which makes me happy,
and I act on that."
As students of Santa Clarita Morales, Cristina
Valley continued to wake up to the Moran, Jennifer
high-pitched screams of tourists on Moreno, Paula
Magic Mountain's newest thrill ride, Morris, Cynthia
they continued to grow with the environ-
ment which surrounded them.
