Strange readings as befits Spock's physiology. But
several readings are strangely low. CAMERA PANS TO
REVEAL a tense scene. McCoy, Dr. M'Benga, and Christine
are bent over Spock's unconscious form. The sterilite
above bathes the scene in its odd glow. Christine is
very concerned, trying however to remain professional.
She throws a quick look to:

Christine snaps off the sterilite. McCoy turns, moves
for his office.

INT. McCOY'S OFFICE - ANGLE ON KIRK 36 *

Kirk pacing, whirls as McCoy enters. A beat, the two
men eyeing the other, then:

McCOY
He may live or die now, I don't t
know which.
(indicates door)

Vulcan ward. Spock couldn't
be in better hands.

KIRK
You're sure he'll give Spock as
good care as he can get?

McCOY
