on the community. The longevity and success of HandsOn Santa Clarita can in large part be attributed to Brian’s
leadership. He is always the first person at any HOSC event to set-up and the last to go home after takedown.
In addition to his personal financial donations, his conference room has been the location for our monthly board
meetings for the past six years and he has graciously hosted many HandsOn Santa Clarita events at his own
home. Brian has also contributed numerous hours of pro-bono legal and HR services. Brian has helped to raise
the visibility of the SCV Senior Center in the community and continues to ensure the success of its largest
fundraiser, Celebrity Waiter.
Biography: Brian Koegle is a partner in the employment and labor law department of Poole & Shaffery, LLP.
With a focus on labor and employment law, Koegle provides counsel to employers across various industries
regarding hiring practices, employment contracts, wage and hour issues, compensation, discipline, and termina-
tion matters. He represents employers in mediation, arbitration, litigation, and various administrative hearings,
defending a wide range of employment discrimination and fair employment practice cases. He is a frequent
writer and speaker on a variety of labor and employment-related matters. Koegle also counsels business owners
with regard to business and commercial disputes, including protection of trade secrets and proprietary informa-
tion, and has first chair trial experience litigating business and employment matters. Koegle is a member of the
Labor and Employment Sections of the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and
serves as an Associate Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). He has been recognized by Super-
Lawyers/Los Angeles Magazine each year 2010-2017 as Rising Star, and 2016-17 as SuperLawyer. Brian is a
35-year resident of the Santa Clarita Valley where he lives with his wife, Lindsay, three daughters, Ashlyn, Ad-
dison, and Amelia, and dog, Brutus. In addition to being a busy attorney and community member, he is an avid
supporter of his daughters’ pursuits of athletic and academic excellence at local schools
